Maps offer intuitive ways to discover and visualize information, enable efficient problem-solving, and communicate stories. These are core capabilities required for Gov 2.0 solutions in any enterprise. This session will explore how open and interoperable geographic information systems enable web developers and designers to rapidly create next-generation web mapping solutions for data visualization, crowdsourcing, and business intelligence. Integrating mapping apps with social media sources and cloud GIS will also be demonstrated.
